Another wonderful dinner at Ixora Restaurant at Palmetto Bay, Roatan.
The setting was perfect, a nice breeze and some great, live island
music. We were so busy drinking delicious monkey lala's and pina coladas
that we missed the sunset. The food more than made up for the missed
sunset. We started with some crispy fried calamari with a spicy dipping
sauce. My only complaint was I wish there was more of it, it was so
good. My husband and daughter had the steak that they proclai
med
delicious. I had snapper with onions, peppers and tomatoes that was so
moist and flavorful, probably one of my favorite dishes this week. (It
wasn't on the menu but since I didn't like the options offered that night,
the chef was so accommodating and made me snapper.) All entrees came with
vegetables and french fries, mashed potatoes or dirty rice. The fries
were great, hot and crispy and I tried my daughter's dirty rice and that
was wonderful too. No room for dessert.
