Harbourview in Brick Bay, Roatan-Restaurant Review

We heard about Harbourview and being so close to our home in Palmetto Bay on Roatan, we decided to try it on our last visit to the island.. They only opened in April 2017 and still have some kinks to work out. There is a very limited menu and even the things on the menu we ordered, they didn't have, such as shrimp, potatoes, chips for the guacamole. That being said, we still enjoyed what was finally produced. When I say finally, I do mean it, bring your patience. While I realize this is island time, it took over an hour to get our appetizers. Luckily, the setting overlooking the harbor was beautiful and there was a great breeze. However, who ever thought that sitting on chairs made of tree slices was a good idea needs to have their head examined. We started with some really great onions rings and tasty guacamole with fried plantains. My daughter had a chicken quesadilla that didn't look like a quesadilla but she said it was ok. (Sorry but that was all I was getting from an almost 13 year old that night.) My husband and I had the lemon pepper snapper which was very good. It was fried which I didn't realize the menu indicated but not greasy at all and a very good flavor. It came with 2 sides, both of us got a green salad and those great onion rings again as they were out of our 1st choices. The prices are very reasonable and management came over twice to apologize for all the issues. We will return.

When on the island, rent our recently updated 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home with private pool, mere steps to the white sand beach of Palmetto Bay.
